THE HOTEL

Nobody exactly knows when nor how the use of sources of Bains de Secours began. But  we are sure that the ancestors of Jean Pierre Paroix already lived in the heart of that small valley at the time when Gaston, earl of Bearn used to hunt there the wild boars or brown bears ... Much later Theophile de Bordeu, a doctor at Louis XV court, praised the effectiveness of the waters of this small spot of Béarn.

Then in the golden century of hydrotherapy when Empress Eugenie and the best of European aristocracy took the way to the Pyrenean thermal places ,  shopkeepers, farmers, craftsmen and winemakers came here in summer to alleviate their rheumatism in the baths.

During  summer the owners who also were farmers prepared the baths, rented rooms, selling soup and wine.

Here survives the last of the thermal houses that once dotted the foothills of the Pyrenees and it is that old tradition of hospitality we try to perpetuate in the former farm turned to a small charming hotel with famous restaurant as well as  in the nearby spa where you can still immerse yourself in old marble baths and enjoy modern relaxation and massage we offer you  there
