No one knows how
or when we started using the natural spring 'Bains de Secours', but we
do know that Jean Pierre Paroix's ancesters lived in these dales during
the era of Gaston Phoebus and that for centuries all the common people:
merchants, peasants, vine-growers, and tradesmen came to ease their
rheumatisms in the 'Bains de Secours'. During the summer the owners of
the property prepared the baths, rented out rooms, served soup and wine:
and for the rest of the year they were farmers.
